I've only really listened to Van She remixes until recently when I heard their old single, Kelly. It is really CD-R friendly and has a lot of replay value. The next time you make a mixtape for that girl in accounting, she will really enjoy this song.

Sleeping Patterns
Going to bed at 4:30 and waking up a 2:00 has its perks, but I never get anything done / never move from one spot. I didn't even notice my allergies today because I didn't leave the house.
This pretty much summarizes my lifestyle during breaks from school. I wish I could find the mp3, but it's next to impossible. I'm going to order R. Stevie Moore's CD-R from him.
Here is one mp3 I do have (killer vid too):

D.I.S.C.O TEXAS
D.I.S.C.O TEXAS is a very danceable group of acts from Portugal. I'm feelin' it.
Doesn't Panda Bear live in Portugal?
The tracks flow so well you can just leave it on repeat and not even notice.

Tittsworth
Tittsworth seems like he likes to party (it is apparent in his name). I've always had to problem of getting the apartment party to appreciate Earth Wind & Fire, but thank the fuck Christ for Tittsworth. He seems to <3 2 party. Check out his MySpace page

Stuntin' Like My Daddy Remix Collection
It's no secret that Stuntin' Like My Daddy has been one of my favorite hip-hop tracks to come around in forever. I'm all about the lyric "I've never been a pussy cause my hood never let me." I think I heard about 10 remixes before I heard the actual song, though. Here are some of my favz:
The Hood Internet - Stuntin' Like Black Rock (mp3)
Birdman & Lil Wayne - Stuntin' Like My Daddy (Party Time 2000 Remix) (mp3)
Birdman & Lil Wayne - Stuntin' Like My Daddy (Quarterbar Fast Remix) (mp3)
Why not throw in the slow remix?

Modelo Especial: Pretty Tyte in Cans

Modelo is one of those overlooked beers in the canned community. Yeah it comes in bottles with pretty gold foil, but I think it looks best in the can. Is this because it makes me nostalgic for the old Miller Lite cans? Maybe. But it's also cheaper for when you want a budget buzz.
Why B-School Dropout supports this beer is because whenever I drink this, shit gets real. After two cans of this, you learn that a girl has done things should would normally not talk about. After three or four, you can finally WIN at 'truth or dare' (get everyone naked).
All I know is, whatever makes girls in purple thongs do cartwheels has my full support

White Christmas
The Pipettes are a pretty tyte U.K. act. I saw them this semester and they hotted the house down. 2/3s of this band I would hit sober, the other third I'd hid sober and lie about.
They remind me of the Phil Spector girl groups and if they had been around 5 years ago, probably would have played at Lilith Fair.

Gil Mantera's Party Dream
Pretty tyte duo out of Youngstown, Ohio (what the fuck, right?). I haven't heard much of their stuff, but most of it seems off the chain. It's best to watch them on YouTube because their performance is a more important aspect of their music. Here they are covering my favorite Fleetwood Mac song, dreams (love the vocoder, bro).
Sweet gold thong at 1:40
Another badass performance of "Another Life" by Kano (Hilarious original vid). They seem to be just living the dream. Check out the MySpace.

180 Grams
The Vinyl Revolution is tyte. 'Audiophiles' are bringing back vinyl in a big way. Check out Amazon.com's Vinyl Search. Pretty legit, right?
Vinyl sales are not surprisingly going up in the digital age, where mp3 players have changed the definition of portability, making CDs pretty much obsolete. Vinyl brings back the warm tones of analog sound that are missed in the digital process of making CDs and ripping them to mp3s (that's why your digital copy of In Rainbows that you paid for online so you could support the revolution sounds like shit when played out of your dad's high end speakers. Don't worry. Lot's of people were pissed too.)
Lots of bros picked up on this early and got a turntable and asked 'Hey wanna come chill at my place and listen to vinyl?' then proceeded to lecture us in the superiority of vinyl. Yeah. I get it. It's better. But, hey bro? Your copy of Person Pitch sounds a lot like my 198 kb/sec ripped mp3 version. Why? Music is all being recorded digitally today, making there almost no distinction between the record and a very high quality digital version. Unless you know the band used magnetic tape to record and not ProTools, you should probably just download it. But if you own Pet Sounds...that's a different story.

Shaving Music
Although some bros might disagree, shaving is a pretty necessary part my lifestyle, especially because I have a lot of patches that don't grow hair. It's a annoying process, leaving me with, most days of the week, a good amount of scruff.
When it does come time to shave, nothing makes you feel more like a man than mambo music. Maybe you just need a break from bangers. (Or do you listen to The National?)
Here are some good ones to get you started:
Esquivel - Sentimental Journey (mp3)
Sergio Mendes - Só Danço Samba (Jazz 'n' Samba) (mp3)
Xavier Cugat - Brazil Aquerla do Brasil (mp3)
Pérez Prado - Patricia (mp3)
Lawrence Welk - Calcutta (mp3)(Xavier Cugat...wasn't he that bro who married a 15-year-old Charo when he was 66? Cuchi-Cuchi!)

Road Games
If you ever find yourself driving with nothing to talk about, here's a favorite road game to play:
1. Say 'Anal'
2. Say the model of the car in front of you.
Some examples found by my bro Freedankgabe and me:
[Anal] Explorer
[Anal] Expedition
[Anal] Ram
There are plenty of other good ones. She's probably calling her bro about the anal rodeo ahead of her.

You Gotta Be: A YouTube Cover Favorite?
Check out Joshua. He is doing one of many ballin' ass covers of "You Gotta Be" by Des'Ree. Don't worry about the intro where he talks about the nerdiest thing about him, it gets better.
There are more, just type in 'cover of you gotta be' in your YouTube search bar in Firefox. J/k. here's the link.
Want the original, bro?

Leinenkugel's Sunset Wheat: Fred Flintstone's Beer of Choice
Leinenkugel's Sunset Wheat is a beer that this blog supports. I can't figure out why it ranks so low on beer ranking websites, unless those assholes hate Fruity Pebbles cereal.
When I found out that the company that makes this, Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company, has been around since 1884, I hoped that Sunset Wheat had been around for that long and that the makers threw up when they first tried Fruity Pebbles and complained that it tasted too much like beer.
If you're like me and try the Honey Weiss hoping that it tastes like Honey Comb, you'll be disappointed. I'm just waiting for the Count Chocula beer to reach the consumer market.
This beer will probably change your life.
The song they probably want you to listen to while drinking this:

Magnetic Fields
We are about a month away from the release of the new Magnetic Fields album and I'm pumped. Everyone should own a copy of 69 Love Songs.
Here are some mp3s of some of their earlier works to get you in the mood to listen to them again:

Girl Talk: Something other than 'Night Ripper'
I loved Night Ripper when I heard it, so I went to a local record store to buy his earlier works. They kind of sucked. I even returned one of the CDs because I didn't realize he was originally a glitch DJ. That seems like the most retarded genre of digital music: Let's make a CD sound like it's skipping (probably the most annoying sound in music).
Here is one track that at least starts out cool from Unstoppable

Good Thing There Aren't Many Posts
I'm reaaaaaallly happy I have only been blogging for a short time, because I thought about doing a BEST OF 2k7 list and realized that since I only had a few posts, no one would respect that at all.
Maybe I will make a best of 2k8 next year, but we'll see.
If I had to choose my favorite album of 2k7, I'd it was Panda Bear's Person Pitch.
